RAT – A software for Rapid Association Tests

RAT

:: DESCRIPTION

RAT (Rapid Association Test) is a software for testing association between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and a disease. The main advantage of RAT is its ability to calculate accurately and quickly high significance disease association. For large data set and low p-values, RAT is 2-4 orders of magnitude faster than the standard permutation test.

Virtual Twitch 2.2.1 – Simulation of the Rat Phrenic Nerve-hemidiaphragm Preparation

Virtual Twitch 2.2.1

:: DESCRIPTION

The Virtual Twitch is a simulation of the rat phrenic nerve-hemidiaphragm preparation, used to the study the actions of neuromuscular blocking and reversal agents, and other drugs which affect neuromuscular transmission. The hemidiaphraghm is a large, focally innervated, respiratory skeletal muscle, composed of fast-type muscle fibres. Electrical stimulation of the phrenic nerve evokes fast, shorting-lasting muscle twitches.

RAT 1.0 – Recombination Analysis Tool for High Throughput Analysis of Genomic Sequence

RAT 1.0

:: DESCRIPTION

RAT (Recombination Analysis Tool)is an uncomplicated and intuitive cross-platform Java-based application intended for high-throughput, distance-based analysis of both DNA and protein multiple sequence alignments, in any one of seven different file formats. All of RAT’s operations are carried out through GUI’s, and all output can be saved as data files (.txt, .xls, .csv), or .jpg files in the case of graphical outputs. RAT is intuitive and easy to use, and only requires a minimum of input from the user. All the parameters have default values, all of which may be changed by the user.
