DMI
:: DESCRIPTION
The DMI computational tool is developed to help identify cancer-associated ‘driver’ mutations from ‘passenger’ ones in a cancer genome. The whole system is coded with Matlab except for the core DMI-FE.exe, which performs the feature extraction scheme and is coded with C++. Generally, given a set of mutations with the simp-form (detailed in Usage), the DMI system could identify which of them are drivers, in the sense that whether they have functional impact on the involved protein. However, very unusual gene name/ID provided may lead to being uncovered by this tool.
