GenExp /DASgenexp – Web-based Visualization tool that interactively Explore Genomic Database

GenExp /DASgenexp

:: DESCRIPTION

GenExp is a web based and fully interactive visual DAS client. GenExp is a genome oriented DAS client capable of creating informative representations of genomic data zooming out from base level to complete chromosomes. It proposes a novel approach to genomic data rendering and uses the latest HTML5 web technologies to create the data representation inside the client browser.

 DASGenExp is a web-based visualization tool that interactively explore distributed DAS data bases.

GelScape 20030728 – Web-based Gel Viewing and Annotation System

GelScape 20030728

:: DESCRIPTION

GelScape offers a freely available, platform-independent approach to analyzing standard 1D and 2D protein gels.  GelScape uses advanced concepts in “network computing” enabling one to upload, download, save, print, view, annotate, edit, label, compare and spot mark just about any gel image.  GelScape also allows one to calculate spot intensity, prepare HTML image maps and archive annotated gels to a public database (GelBank) – all using an easy-to-use, intuitive browser interface.

BioconductorBuntu – Web-Based DNA Microarray Analysis Server

BioconductorBuntu

:: DESCRIPTION

BioconductorBuntu is a custom distribution of Ubuntu Linux that automatically installs a server-side microarray processing environment, and provides a user friendly web-based graphical user interface to many of the tools developed by the Bioconductor Project, whether locally or across a network. Installation is a turn-key procedure, simply based on booting off the installation CD or image file. In its current version, several microarrays analysis pipelines are supported including oligonucleotide (e.g. Affymetrix Genechips), dual or single dye (e.g. Exqion miRNA arrays) experiments, with the existing set of preprocessing methods for normalization, background correction and so on are easily expanded.

Handlebar 2.2.2 – Web Based Sample Inventory Manager

Handlebar 2.2.2

:: DESCRIPTION

Handlebar is a web based sample inventory manager, originally designed to meet the needs of researchers in the NERC PG&P research projects, it is now available for wider use. It is simple to use, allows a central database to serve users over multiple sites and permits the administrator to easily define new item templates for different types of sample. Linking between related samples is supported. The system is designed to work with printed barcode labels and functions are provided to print labels with Zebra brand barcode printers using the EPL protocol.
